whole friends-with-benefits thing is going to work.
What a great sort of friends to lovers story/second chance romance. Erin has a life that may not be perfect but it is working for her until it is turned upside down. The events causes her to adapt a determination to show the world that she will succeed and she does not need a man to do so. Then you have Devin who loves his job, and family. He is satisfied with life until he is reintroduced to Erin. They go into a friends with benefit arrangement because neither wants a relationship. It was great to see them navigate through their situation and work through the feeling as they were developing. I loved how Erin had to get use to having support in a “relationship”. This story was the perfect blend of relatable characters, sweet, and steam to draw you in. I loved meeting the supporting characters and excited to see where the series go. This is my first book by Carrie and I really enjoyed her writing style.
